The program honors companies – partners, customers, and suppliers – demonstrating exceptional leadership in decarbonization efforts.

Launched in 2022, the awards were initially geared towards Schneider’s partner ecosystem. This year, the scope expanded to include customers and suppliers, reflecting Schneider’s commitment to a collaborative approach towards a sustainable future. Winners were evaluated based on their holistic approach to sustainability, encompassing Electrify, Reduce, Replace strategies for minimizing environmental impact and Electricity 4.0 initiatives promoting strategic planning, digitization, and decarbonization. The main award criteria were:
- Energy Efficiency: Implementation of innovative digital tools and technologies to optimize energy consumption.
- Net-Zero Targets: Demonstrated efforts to achieve carbon neutrality through electrification and digitization.
- Impact and Innovation: Demonstrating leadership in sustainability through creative solutions.

2023 Sustainability Impact Awards Winners
The awards recognize exceptional achievements in two categories: Impact to My Enterprise and Impact to My Customers.
Impact to My Enterprise Winners:
- BlackRock (USA): Their new headquarters exemplifies sustainable operations, boasting best-in-class energy efficiency, a reduced environmental footprint, and a healthy work environment.
- CapitaLand (India): This company future-proofed its real estate portfolio for climate resilience, achieving a 20% carbon reduction since 2019 through smart water and energy management.
- FCOM (Japan): FCOM successfully reduced Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) from 2.6 to 1.24 via innovative energy-saving practices. They utilize local renewable energy and plan for a future smart grid, even boasting a company forest for employee engagement.
- University of New South Wales (Australia): Partnering to achieve its Environmental Sustainability plan, the university will utilize a solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to achieve net-zero emissions and significant greenhouse gas (GHG) savings.
- The VELUX Group (Denmark): Partnering with Schneider Electric’s consultancy services, VELUX is on track to achieve its Carbon Neutral 2030 goals for Scope 1 and 2 emissions. They now source 100% of their power from renewable sources.

- Enterprise Automation (USA): This company upgraded a water reclamation facility, achieving significant cost savings and emission reductions while facilitating energy storage solutions.
- Markit Holding AS (Poland): Markit supports initiatives like reforestation, sustainable product access, and equipment upgrades to minimize carbon footprints. Eco-friendly filters in their marketplace allow clients to choose certified sustainable products.
- Paragon (Egypt): Paragon utilizes centralized data management for efficient monitoring. They reduced power consumption by 15% (with 6% from renewables) and water usage by 15% through a grey water system. This resulted in substantial annual energy savings and CO2 emission reduction.
- TecnoService (Italy): Partnering with 13 hospitals in Tuscany, TecnoService boosted energy and operational efficiency by digitally integrating mechanical and electrical plants. This project reduced CO2 emissions by 41% and delivered significant energy savings.
